Description
Full size photosBought brand new at Lyons-Ryans Ford which is 10 miles from here. Very desirable colors, power steering, power disc brakes and a power top! It has original glovebox pouch with owner's manual. It has 2 build sheets, buck tag and miscellaneous receipts from the 1980s-1990s.
EXTERIOR: Repainted it's original Vintage Burgundy color. The body is very solid, there's no rust or damage. It was painted 20 years ago, if there was rust it would be showing. It was an amateur paint job, it shows well but not show quality. The chrome is all shiny,, straight but not new. Upgraded 17 inchMustang wheels with Goodyear ZR45 tires. It's a power convertible top that works smoothly. The top is white and is in excellent shape. Weatherstrips have been replaced.
INTERIOR: Overall very nice interior. There's alittle sun fading on the carpet hump but other than that it's in great shape. The upholstery is excellent, door panels and armrests have been replaced. It has it's original seatbelt front and back. The dash area has new trim. White faces were put on the gauges. There is an aftermarket mini Sun Pro tachometer and a matched set of gauges below the dash. It has a cd stereo with speakers mounted in the back. It also has a walnut custom steering wheel. Interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 289 motor has been rebuilt. It has a slightly hotter cam, Edelbrock intake and carb with an electric choke. It is dressed up with finned aluminum Mustang valve covers and the HiPo chrome air cleaner. Features include power steering and power brakes. The engine has been well maintained with oil changes. Plug wires and cap look recent. The alternator still has a sticker on it. It looks complete- has both horns, fan shroud, washer fluid bag etc. The engine bay is smooth clean painted satin black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid trunk compartment. It has a mat and tire cover.New insulation pad on top of the tank, welliner was replaced, weather strip is excellent
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of the car has been restored. It is solid metal, floor pans were replaced. It was sealed with a light undercoat. It has a custom stainless steel exhaust with polished Magnaflow mufflers and X pipe. The front end components look like they were replaced. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake cables are hooked up. Bottom of the motor looks clean. It has a c4 automatic transmission and a 3:1 ratio rear end.
This is for the person that wants a vintage car to drive. It looks good but isn't so perfect that you will be scared to use it. The 289, power steering and power disc brakes make it easy. Top down fun!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
