Description
Purchased about 15 years ago, been garage stored ever since. A lot of work has been done to it over the years, and has maybe been driven 100 miles since I purchased it. Below is a list of what has been done/replaced, what I know needs to be done, and I what I believe may need done.
--Done--
Body work - replaced both doors, one front quarter panel, fiberglass sealed the floor panels, some bondo in rear quarters.
Paint - Final bodywork and paint professionally done.
Interior - New headliner, carpet, front seat upholstery (see Needs Done below), front kick panels and rear dash with speaker inserts.
Mechanical - Carb and brakes rebuilt, battery replaced about a year ago with solenoid, starter replaced after purchase, fully new exhaust.
Cosmetics - Replaced both bumpers, font and rear light assemblies, logos, and various other cosmetic pieces.
--Needs Done--
Assembly is the big part here. The seats are upholstered, but need to be assembled. Kick panels put in. Door mechanisms reassembled. Weather stripping/gaskets put on. Etc. Some minor parts I never thought of may need to be purchased, but most everything is included and ready to be put in.
The other big part is it has not been regularly run in the past 2 years. I put fuel stabilizer in, it turns over, and will start with a LOT of starter fluid, but at this point the fuel lines/system probably need replaced, as that is something I have never worked on since I bought it anyway. I make no guarantee as to its current state of drivability. I drove it about 10 miles 2 years ago to where it sits now.
There is a section of the front left frame that needs to be patched. I was quoted $500 for a local shop to do it.
Needs new tires. I have several extra rims that come with it as well.
--Probably Needs Done--
If you want to put a modern sound system in it, you will probably need to replace the alternator with something more robust.
--Other Notes--
Previous owner claimed that he rebuilt the engine and it was stored inside its entire life.
Front dash, steering wheel, radio, and rear seat are original and in great shape.
When I did drive it I had no issues, but once again, has not been driven or regularly run in 2 years.
With the tires, frame, and fuel issues, it will need a flat bed to transport. Sold as is, no warranty. I've been completely honest with all issues I know of and make no guarantee that there are not more, which is a risk you take with any car this age. You are welcome to have a mechanic come take a look at it, but I will not allow it to be transported off site without money in hand. Thank you!
