Ford : Mustang sprint edition

1972 mustang olympic sprint edition - also called " the patriotic mustang"- orig door data tag intact plus orig dearborn body buck tag attached to driver's side headlite bucket area. both denote "HB" - white vinyl/ blue cloth insert upholstery- only avail on a factory ordered sprint.- marti report verifies the sprint option- this one has the "A" package option color of course is 9A- white : 302 "F" code v8 - easy on gas. 3.00 open rear end - produced march '72 - transmission was originally a 3 speed manual but a previous owner installed a c4 automatic- shifts great and no leaks- clutch pedal still there but tucked up to firewall- barely noticeable - dso florida- currently has an edlebrock 4v intake , edlebrock elect choke carb ( works great) headers- bit more punch than the little 2v setup. i've detailed eng bay to have the factory look. solenoid,regulator hoses belts motorcraft sipcon wires all correct stuff. distributor is a mallory unilite- painted cap black just to mimic fact cap. do have the orig distributor and an extra set of power by ford valve covers- best thing i have extra are the orig cloth insert seat covers. if it was me i would have left these covers in place. reproduction covers are all vinyl- if orig's were cleaned up a bit ( no rips, burns etc) they could be re-installed. according to previous owner car had full repaint, full floor pan replacement interior refurbished approx 12 yrs ago. lower rear 1/4's have had repairs and trunk drops were replaced- rear wheel lips are clean- no fill - frame rails torque boxes all look good- tops of fender aprons all look good also- orig hood doors and trunk lid . believe the sprint color scheme is pretty well dead on including red pin stripe. add on rear spoiler was painted blue but i changed it back to satin black ( last week! )- front rad support straight- no evidence of collision damage anywhere- new ps pump and shifter bushings installed last month- 14" magnums and newer tires factory power steering manual drum brakes- engine runs great- on oil changes i toss in a qt of zddp high zinc oil- no overheating- just changed plugs last month-( autolites) aux trans cooler mounted to radiator. new rear 1/4 side markers. perfect dash pad currently has a panasonic am/fm radio but will include a D2ZA am radio- (wiring plugs intact plus correct knobs)- NOT a fold down seat car. ford made sprint edition mavericks and pintos also. 50 sprint convertibles were made (all the same) majority were hardtops google 1972 sprint mustang for more info on these unique cars sprint registry shows this is the only one discovered so far that came with a 3 speed trans lots of paperwork including orig window sales invoice ( laminated) marti report. can ship from sumas wa. 98295 paypal deposit 500.00 bank wire transfer for balance of funds.
