Description

1966 Ford Mustang 289 cid V-8 Hardtop Coupe
Trophy Winning and Rust Free First Generation Mustang
Originally Purchased in Charlotte North Carolina Car and in Excellent Condition

This is an all original first generation 1966 Ford Mustang in show worthy condition. In addition it is an exceptionally clean vintage Mustang with a powerful 289 V-8. This car is in excellent mechanical condition and everything works . The engine runs smooth and strong and the car’s automatic transmission shifts smooth and crisp as it should. The single exhaust is original style and the car is quiet running. The steering is tight and accurate feeling and the car feels and is really solid. Rear brakes and axel seals are nearly new with less that 2,000 miles on them. Front brakes were inspected at that time and are excellent. Also, the tires have less that 2,000 miles on them and the spare tire has never been on the ground. I have receipts that go with the car to verify all work done.
The car is in very good cosmetic condition with one repaint that has that factory type shine and there is no rust or rot on the body or frame. Chrome and stainless is bright, shiny and straight, and the factory optional wire wheel covers are absolutely beautiful. The original and working AM radio (highly desired) works perfectly. Garage kept and stored winters. This car was originally purchased in Charlotte North Carolina and spent most of it's life in the southern states. All maintenance receipts come with the car along with a clear Illinois title in my name.
