Description

Offered for you consideration is my completely restored, beautiful 1968 Mustang 2+2 Fastback. This vehicle has had a complete and professional restoration performed just over two years ago. No expense was spared in the restoration and every nut, bolt, panel and part has been either replaced or upgraded. For all practical purposes, this looks and feels like a new 1968 Mustang as you can find and Mustang fans know vehicles of this quality do not come along very often for sale. There are just too many new parts to list, so I will just mention a few and let the pictures speak for themselves.
Drivetrain & Suspension: Completely rebuilt original 289 engine bored 30 over with mild cam and Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. New brakes, shocks, springs, rotors, calipers, pads (disc front). New power steering pump, steering gear box, power brake booster added and rebuilt radiator. Transmission and 3rd member also rebuilt, new drive shaft universals and all new dual exhaust system. Also has new fuel tank and fuel sending unit and electronic ignition. Wheels are 14" Cragar Pro Street SS with new 225-70-14 Radial Tires all around. Full size spare with same Cragar wheel and tire size. New Vintage Air, heat and defrost system with extended warranty. Car runs cool even in the hottest of weather with AC running. Oil pressure 50 psi when crusing and 25 psi idel.
Interior: All new seats, door panels, dash cover, custom center console and headliner and carpet were replaced. All gauges work and some new ones added. New am/fm cassette radio w/ 4 speakers. Interior looks like it just came from factory with fold down rear seat. All interior lights and gauges work properly and AC blows ice cold. Cabin is quiet when cruising, with no rattles or squeaks and all glass is tinted. New rubber gaskets and seals and all chrome piece have been replaced or rechromed.
Body & Paint: Professional paint job with 1968 Mustang Candy Apple red color paint and clear coat. All body lines are straight and correct. Doors, hood and trunk work properly with good tight fit. White LeMans striping with GT fog lights in grill and non functional hood scoop and hood sins added. All chrome parts were either replaced or rechromed . Under carriage is clean and painted black. This is a southern car and has not been driven in snow or ice covered salty roads and always garage stored. Vehicle inspection are welcome but only prior to auction ending date.
Only 5600 miles have been driven on the car since restoration completed. This car was made for crusing but sadly could also be used as a trailer queen for shows. Recently participated by driving in MCA Pony Drive from Norman, OK. to Charotte, N.C.in April for Mustangs 50th birthday celebration at Lowes Motor Speedway. Car ran perfect with no problems handling interstate driving speeds. However we could not stop at a restaurant or parking areas without gathering a crowd and getting tons of attention and compliments. Car was pictured in "Mustang Times" magazine, August 2014 issue driving into Memphis, TN for Pony drive and also featured in "Mustang Monthly" magazine, October 2014 issue "Beale Street Beauty" article. Car was also selected as "Best in show" at the July 4th, 2014, Little Rock, AR " Pops on the River" fireworks festival and several 1st. place trophies at local car and truck show.
Do not miss your chance to own a real piece of Ford history and one that will only appreciate in value. This car is ready to enjoy whether you are driving 500 or 5000 miles and it needs nothing. The reason for selling is that I am 73 years young but I guess it is time to let someone else enjoy this ride. However I might consider a restored 1955-1957 Thunderbird in trade but it would have to be a good one.
Will Consider selling to outside the U.S. with receipt of proper payment and buyer arranges for shipping. However Please note again that vehicle will not be released to new buyer until any and all checks, personnel, cashier checks and money orders have cleared " my bank". Bank wire transfer also accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Thanks for looking
