Description
Beautiful Grabber Blue Mach 1 ready to drive. This is an original 351 Cleveland M code (4 barrel), 4 speed car. This is 1 of only 2987 built with this engine and transmission code. The engine has approx 2000 miles on it. I am a mechanical engineer and restored this car completely without intending to part with it. This is not just a cosmetic restorations. There is no rust on this car. The underlying mechanics are as good as the cosmetics. The top loader 4 speed was rebuilt by Dan Williams (look him up), I had the steering box rebuilt properly. (most people just turn the preload screw and it works for a awhile and then causes further damage), I rebuilt the steering ram, new upper and lower control arms. Power steering. No play in the steering and no wrestling to keep it on the road. You will be amazed at how well a classic mustang did and should drive. car is equipped from the factory with a Sport Deck Rear Seat (fold down back seat), interior is in excellent condition, functioning rim blow steering wheel restored to show quality finish (look up what that one feature alone costs for show quality).
This car is show worthy but can also be reliably driven. I have many pictures that are too big to put on Ebay. Car is kept in my garage under a car cover to avoid getting dusty. It has only been washed one time since I completed the restoration approximately 3 years ago but we drive it regularly.
Everything is in great mechanical condition. I am aware of two things that still need attention. I just haven't had time. The radio does not work. I've went back and forth between getting modern electronics put into the radio and getting the current radio rebuilt. I'm leaning to getting modern electronics put in the old case. That feature will be up to the winning bidder now but both options are fairly inexpensive . I have not purchased a jack and the spare tire so those will need to be installed before showing.
If you have questions please feel free to ask. If you prefer to speak on the phone that is great too. I have the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to remove this listing if sold.
Merry Christmas.
