Description

This is a rare opportunity to own what may possibly be a one of one 1989 Mustang GT convertible.
Very few 1k paint code Light Grey(aka Dove Gray)Mustangs were produced in 1989. Even fewer were GT's and fewer still were convertibles. In fact they really don't know how many GT's were produced with a 1k paint code in 1989. They very well may have been special order only for a GT. This beauty also has a white convertible top, grey leather interior and A/C. Making it even more rare.
There is extensive documentation from the original owner including the original purchase order, dealership documents, original warranty cards, service receipts, and more. Unfortunately the window sticker has been misplaced. There are both sets of original keys and dealership tag along with the original rust proofing warranty.
Special ordered from Yates Ford in MO it has been carefully collected and driven for just over 15,000 miles in the last 26 years. There is even hand written notes from the original owner while negotiating the deal on a 1988 dealer brochure.
The leather interior is in perfect condition with the exception of a small crack behind the drivers seat(see photos). All the buttons and dials work and feel like new. The radio sounds great and there are no blown speakers. The A/C is still R-12 and has not been converted. It currently does not work. The top goes up and down smoothly and the white vinyl is like new. The cover is perfect and the storage bag is also there. The rare Light Grey paint is near perfect with minor blemishes(see photos). The wheels are excellent and the classic VR60 tires look and drive great. It runs and drives today like it did in 1989. It truly is a time machine! Don't miss this one!!
