Ford: Mustang

1969 Mustang convertible. Family owned since brand new. Garage kept for the last 30 some years. Car was restored as original as possible, except the color. Original 302 2v was completely rebuilt. Block was hot tanked. Bored .030 over. Hypertectic pistons. New camshaft. Rods and pistons were balanced before reassembly. Original Autolite 2100 carb was rebuilt at Pony carburetors. Valve job with hardened valve seats. Every panel was removed before painting and then reassembled. Underneath was painted and rubberized. The body is solid. Every part was removed, sand blasted and painted before reassembling. All new ball joints and tie rod ends. New gas tank. Interior was reupholstered in black. The body painted dark candy apple red. 110,486 total miles on car. Only 10,000 on rebuilt engine. People love this car. Turns heads everywhere I go. Rare. Only about 14,900 convertibles were made in 69. Transmission is a C4 Automatic. Power steering. Drum brakes. Original push button AM radio. Proven to be reliable transportation as a daily driver. I drive it everyday in the summer. Back plastic window is damaged from the sun and is unusable.
