Description
The original 1966 Shelby GT350H is one of my favorite Mustangs of all time. In late 2005, I decided to build a modern day replica of this fantastic looking and running car. I purchased a new 2006 Ford Mustang GT coupe as described. I had the Ford dealership add dual gold stripes on the hood, top, and trunk lid. The first step was to add the remaining gold stripes, which was accomplished at my local car sign contractor. A Ford Motorsports (Borla) exhaust system was installed, which improved the cars breathing and sound. Ford Racing Products quarter vent/scoops were purchased, painted, and installed.
A performance handling pack was procured from Ford Racing Products which included dampers, lowering springs, sway bars, a strut tower brace, and other bits. The lower look and feel of the car was significantly improved. I found a hood scoop that I liked (Shelby) and had it painted and installed. It took me several months to find just the right front splitter and air dam. A CDC chin spoiler (Rousch) was installed then a Shelby race splitter was added underneath. Special fabrication was required to get it to fit, but the look is just right. I happily drove the car for a couple of years and decided to add the last performance piece which was a Vortech V3-40R-4FV218 supercharger system. The system is 50-state smog legal per C.A.R.B. EO#D-213-27 and has no problem passing the California smog test. The estimated horsepower was now 450hp which was more than enough for me.
The Mustang has 17,900 miles on the odometer and has always been kept in a heated/air conditioned garage. It has never been driven in inclement weather. It has been maintained and has no known mechanical or electrical issues. Paint and interior are very good. The original 2006 Mustang parts (exhaust, suspension components, etc.) have been stored and will be given to the new owner. Current CA registration, smog certificate and title in hand. I am over 70 years old and have never raced or abused the car. The car is being sold as is with no warranties implied. The buyer is responsible for local pick up or arranging pick up by professional movers. Cash payment is preferred but cashiers checks, PayPal, or wire transfer can be arranged and the car will be released once the funds have cleared into my account. A $500 deposit within 3 days of auction close and final payment required within 7 days of auction close. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and hopefully you can stop by for a test drive and inspection.
