Description
Up for sale is my 1986 Mustang GT. I bought the car from the original owner, and it spent it's entire life in NY. Great example of a bone-stock, all-original 86.
The car was originally produced & intended for shipment / sale in Canada. You can see the door tag with DSO code of "B2" which was the Eastern Canada District Sales Office. The Canadian GTs were called "Cobras" although there were no differences from the US GTs, other than road abrasion paint below the side moldings & "Cobra" sticker on the tailgate. This was a pretty unique story and one of the reasons why I chose to purchase the car as it has a bit more 'rarity' than a US GT. I also have the Marti Report for anyone interested.
Since I purchased the car, I had the brakes replaced (new rotors, calipers, drums, etc), along with a new water pump installed. Only modification to the car is a Flowmaster exhaust system.
Car runs & drives great. I am only considering selling as I'd like to "build" an 86, and can't bring myself to modify such a clean original car.
The only thing the car could use is a cleaning of the carpets (some stains). There are some "acorn dings" on the roof you can see if you get close. Minor dings / paint blemishes, but the Jalapeno paint looks great for being original.
I will be more than happy to take a walk-around video for those interested & send via my cell.
Thanks all.
