This is a highly optioned Fastback Mustang with 45600 original miles. It has been re-painted in the original color. It was purchased as a "GT" but only has some of the true factory GT components so you be the judge. There is a lot of conflicting information about these cars being a factory GT or a dealer GT options added car. The car has;
Rear Valence with exhaust thru it and no bumper guards
Holes punched thru rear frame rails for hangers
Reinforcement Plates inside rear frame rails
Exhaust hangers in reinforced floor pans under rear seat
Relay mounted on brake pedal support bracket
No Rocker Panel Moldings
GT Emblems, GT gas cap, Fog Lights, Side Stripe, Etc. which all suggest this is a factory GT car.
The Car DOES NOT have;
Front disc brakes and large master cylinder
No large holes punched in radiator support for Fog Lights, (has smaller holes with rubber grommets that appear to be as old as the car)
Has the smaller front sway bar
One website suggests putting your finger thru the hole on top of the rear frame rail and feel below the tubular bar inside for a reinforcement plate. If it has the plate it is a true factory Gt car according to 99% of the info out there on the web. This car has the reinforcement plate. I believe there is more evidence of being a factory GT car than there is lack of evidence because sway bars, master cylinders, radiator supports can be changed much more easily than rear frame rails can have reinforcement plates added inside them or be completely changed. I wanted to be clear on all this information so interested parties will know up front what the car has and does not have.
Now, as you can see from the pictures, this car is in excellent condition. It runs, drives, handles like a new car. It has factory installed AC which blows cold. Factory installed radio w/8-Track player come with the car but is not installed, (8-Track player needs a new belt to work). It has an aftermarket radio currently installed but the dash was not altered in any way to install it. It has the rally pac as you can see in the pics but the clock does not work. The fog lamps also do not work. There are 2 small rust bubbles in the paint forward of the drivers side rocker panel which are shown in the pictures. There is a small wear line on the side of the drivers seat which is also shown in the pics. The current owner has all the receipts from the time he purchased the car 5 years ago. Also as you can see in the pictures, the car has done well in the few shows the current owner has entered it in.
I may have left something out but look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. I will be glad to answer. The car is in Atmore, Alabama and available for viewing most any time between now and end of auction. You are invited to come test drive it. (that is you can come test drive it before auction end. This is not an auction for someone to come test drive it after they have purchased the car). With that being said and this being true for all my auctions, if you are the winning bidder and find that anything in this auction has been misrepresented, you can walk away with a handshake and no cost to you. Look at my feedback. I have sold several muscle/vintage cars on ebay and never had a problem. If you are a genuine buyer, I'm sure this transaction will be as pleasant as all the previous I've been involved it. If you are just another troll wishing you had money to buy something like this, move on to the next auction because it won't work here. I prefer interested buyers contact me and I will send you my number to call or give you my address to meet and we will discuss any issues before us. You can pay for the car when you come to get it and are satisfied it is what I said it is but the car must be paid for before it leaves my house. Bring a check and the car will sit here until the check clears. Bring cash and drive it home. If you are going to have it shipped the buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and payments and car must be paid for by wire transfer or other means which I have discussed with you and have agreed on.
