History
• I Purchased the car in April 1977 from the original owner
o Had 19,191 miles (currently has 31,930 miles; less than 13,000 miles were put on the car in the last 37 years)
o Original owner kept car outside – never driven in snow
o Missing chrome hood lip trim, chrome left headlight trim and chrome was peeling from front bumper. Purchased replacement trim from local Ford dealer. Purchased NOS ’69 bumper from a private seller instead of re-chroming the original. Still have original bumper.
o Installed 8-track tape deck with speakers in quarter trim panels
• Received new tires and wheels for High School graduation in 1978
• August 1981 car was re-painted
o Dupont Imron was applied by local body shop in Fairmont, WV (Original Paint on hood, roof and trunk was faded).
o Dent in right rear quarter trim and dent over windshield were repaired
o Paint slightly darker than original (body shop promised it would match), some overspray (tried to remove – I didn’t like results so overspray was left).
• September 1981 left door was dented and repainted.
o Same body shop pulled dent and re-painted.
o Appears that holes were drilled for dent puller. Very minor filler.
• I was living in VA and the car was in WV between 1986-1992
o Seldom started the car
o Carb became a problem – was replaced
o Last state inspection in 1992
• Car transported to Hurricane, WV in 1996
• Motor was rebuilt between late 1997 – early 1998
o Local shop prepped the block, rebuilt the heads
o Mostly new parts
o Harden valve seats added
• 1998-2000 brakes, suspension, tires, exhaust were replaced
• 2000-2010 new dash pad installed, replaced power steering hoses, trans worked on, timing was set
o Trans worked consisted of replacing fluid & filter, inspecting internals, fix leak
 Trans shop went out of business before finishing the work
 Shifter mechanism loose
• 2012 New exhaust was purchased but never installed
