Now as for this awesome car, it under went a full nut/bolt restoration in the USA and has only travelled 5000 miles since. All restored to original GT specs including interior and exterior. Entire drive line built and supplied new. It has an amazing electric blue colour. really is an eye catcher. Tinted windows. All black orig style Deluxe interior with brushed aluminium inserts. Fold down back seat. Mustang mats. Shelby GT500 steering wheel. Awesome!! Original new 67 factory style lining in boot.
The drive line consists of a new 351w/408HP built by Jasper Racing Engines USA. Very camy MSD ign, hooker extractors, 21/2 inch twin system with a very hot sound. You hear it coming! 750 Demon Carb, roller rockers, heads worked etc all the good stuff. Still just running in. Oil still clean from original change. Starts and runs incredible for such a hot engine. One of the common ford problems is they often run hot temp and are often hard to start when hot. This has an external double oil canister filter system that then runs through an oil cooler. This keeps the oil temp at around 140-150deg. That is cooler than the running water temp at 182-185 deg therefore the oil helps keep the engine cool, even during a 43deg day in traffic never runs hot! Starts first go no problems.
Runs through a C6 gearbox with a stage 2 shift kit & hurst quick shifter. 9 inch 31 spline LSD (posi track in USA) diff. Currently has 2.75 gears for hwy. but I have 3.75 gears that can be changed for $120 if you want to scare someone or drag. Very Quick! 4 wheel pwr disc brakes. Pwr steering. Orig A/c car so does have orig vents, controls etc. Not hard to fit A/C back in. Paint is incredible. To me it is the highlight of the car. Just an amazing colour. Really goes off against the chrome. Popular Torque Thruster wheels. Engine bay show quality as is the whole car apart from a small chip on windscreen vent (see pic) a small touched up 15mm hair scratch on the right lower quarter panel and a couple of minor bug dots near headlight/around front trim etc(see pics).
