Description
This is
a very clean 1994 INDY 500 Race Pace Car replica. Number 817 of 1,000 produced
and includes Pace Car literature, factory window
sticker, Ford's SVT Racing Team Certificate of
Authenticity, Badge and decal set, Ford Factory Service Manual. I am
the original owner and have religiously and meticulously maintained the
car since new. Full synthetic oil/filter change every 4,000
miles. Engine is tight and runs to perfection. Does not burn
oil. No rust and mechanically perfect. Recent work includes new
convertible top, new clutch, new radiator, A/C system, heater and evaporator
core, suspension/tie rods, driver electric window motor, key/ignition switch,
door locks, exterior mirrors, Turn Signal/Light module, radiator cooling fan
motor. Includes Donut spare and extra COBRA Mag wheel w/full size spare
radial tire. No modifications to the engine. Includes Classic
Design dual side exhaust system and Classic Design black leather
wrapped roll bar with LED brake light.
The car has no mechanical problems, so if and when someone decides to upgrade the engine for desired HP upgrades, it’s a perfect platform. While many believe high mileage cars are a money pit, the secret to mitigating potential mechanical failures is to exercise care when breaking in a new-engine. When I bought this car new from the dealer I changed the break-in oil at 500 miles, never exceeded 2500 RPM for the first 2,000 miles and changed oil and filter thereafter every 4,000 miles. This engine has never been run over 4,500 RPM and has never been abused.
I am selling it because I am moving overseas and can't take it with me. That country doesn't allow the import of used vehicles. This car is a collectible and in time will increase in value and continue to be a worthwhile investment.
