1968 Mustang GT Fastback Project Car
This car has been completely stripped down for a complete restoration, and is well on its way to being put back together.
Includes over $11,000 worth of new metal parts, including
- Full floor pan
- Firewall
- Cowl side panels
- Upper and lower cowl assembly
- Front torque boxes
- Front frame rails and front cross member
- Front inner fender wells and shock towers
- Outer shock tower bump stops
- Radiator support frame
- Driver side front fender (passenger side fender was replaced just before restoration)
- Driver side door skin (other door had no rust, and appeared to have been replaced sometime during the life of the car)
- Hood
- Front valence (not installed yet)
- Seat pans (not installed yet)
- Rear frame rails
- Rear Torque boxes
- Rear quarter panels
- Rear inner wheel wells
- Rear floor transition pan
- Trunk floor assembly
- Rear taillight panels section
- Rear valence
All parts have been fully welding into place with meticulous attention to detail. Anything with rust was completely removed and replaced, not just sanded and covered up. This car is 95% new metal!
Comes with all the original pieces required to finish the restoration, including:
All interior and exterior trim pieces
Front suspension and brakes (minus coil springs)
Rear differential, complete with gears and drum brakes
4 speed manual transmission and drive shaft is included
All the glass which is all in good condition.
Original interior was gold, but was converted to black at some point in its life.
Pieces missing are:
Front seats
Headliner (comes with the hoops and mounting hardware)
Carpet – I have some carpet that goes with it.
Front coil springs
Wheels and tires
Car does not have an engine, or any of the engine accessories (alternator, etc.)
I have spent hundreds of hours on this car, and hate to sell it. However, I have a new job where I spend lots of time traveling, and just don’t have the time that is needed to complete it.
If you thinking of building a 67 or 68 mustang, save yourself hundreds of hours, and thousands of dollars and start from where I left off. Better than a Dynacorn replacement body, as it comes with all the original pieces and hardware, plus it is an original, not just a copy. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
