LUXURY MOTORSPORT GROUP INC. is excited to offer a freshly completed 1965 GT350 Mustang Fastback. We call it the famous Eleanor's Kid sister!!
Withover 3 years of labor in the build this is one of the finestrecreations of a 1965 Ford Mustang you will ever lay eyes on. Theprevious owner, a real Mustang car buff, started with a 1965 FordMustang 2+2 - a rust free, USA car originally delivered with a 289 blockand still with her original USA black license plate. She was thencompletely taken apart and stripped down to bare metal to ensure aperfect finished product. The body was meticulously blocked and sandedwhile the show quality DuPont Pepper Grey paint was applied in multiplestages with a healthy dose of clear.
Every gap lines up betterthan the factory ever could manage, and custom body work eliminates thegaps around the front grill and rear tail lights. Rounding out thecustom body touches are a fabricated radiator top shroud, and a rear gascap. There are no ripples, orange peel or flaws in the perfectlymatching paint. In addition, every jam, lid, and well has beenmeticulously refinished and painted as well. All new glass and trim wasinstalled including the vent window frames.
The interior hasalso been completely refinished using tasteful Shelby parts but theoriginal speedometer was left untouched with addition of Instrumentgauges, Shelby signature leather seats, a Shelby GT350 wood grainsteering wheel, and of course the signature "Go Baby Go"shift knob. The glove box has also been signed and documented by thelate Carroll Shelby himself. All the rest of the interior panels wererefinished or replaced and the carpet and headliner are brand new aswell.
Under the hood lives a healthy newly build 351 WINDSORwith a high performance cam, Shelby valve covers and air cleaner, allcooled by a custom new radiator. The engine block has been tastefullypainted to match the exterior of the car while complemented by satinblack engine bay and accents. Getting the power to the wheels is aTremec T55 5-speed transmission and new rear end. Underneath, all ofthe control arms and bushings have been replaced, while the addition ofsub frame connectors and sway bars strengthen up the chassis andnoticeably improve handling. Helping her come to a quick stop ifnecessary are custom 4 piston brakes at all four corners as well as a master cylinder on the firewall. Wrapping the brakes are a set ofquintessential 17 Inch American Racing Shelby wheels with knock offs.
Thiscar is in immaculate condition. The Body is straight as an arrow. Alldoors, trunk, hood are all aligned like they should. During restorationcar was taken apart sand blasted and properly painted. Stripes are notdecals. They were professionally painted. All the chrome is in topshape.This car is a true joy to drive and will turn heads at everycorner.
