A unique vehicle. A gem for two types of buyers, those who'd like to be involved in charity events like Royal Flying Doctor Trek, Variety Club Bash, Endeavour rally and so on and/or those into restoring a classic muscle street car.The car is registered in NSW until June 3rd 2016.Extras include bullbar, tow bar front and back, extra fuel tank, bash plates, roll bar, rally seats, five point safety harnesses, fire extinguisher, UHF radio, extra cigarette lighter socket. These are all essential for charity event cars and would cost thousands if one were to buy an old car and make all these additions.The engine is a 351 V8 Cleveland and has been fully rebuilt by Wayne Couquhoun of Coulquhoun Automotive at Prestons. It has done just 2 events since then so about 10,000 km since the rebuild. Invoices for this work and other things along the way are available along with an engineering certificate dated 11/8/2010. No further modifications have been made to the car since that date.The current owner has had the car for nearly 10 years and participated in 4 events with it. He is under no illusion that he can realistically expect to recoup the money he has invested in the vehicle but he has enjoyed enormously the experience which is really what it's all about and has raised a lot of money for some very worthy causes in the process. Money has been spent on making the car mechanically reliable and fit for the terrain one encounters on charity events rather than cosmetic details so it has a lot of the rattles and squeaks, paint chips and so on that one would expect from a seventies machine but will get you to the finish line.Serious potential buyers are welcome to come for an inspection and test drive.
