Take a look at this 2006 Mustang GT!This 5-speed car shows 34k miles and has received a ton of work that not only provides improved performance but also emulates classic design elements of the 1969-70 Mach 1.Highlights include a Saleen supercharger, Shaker hood scoop, glass roof, suspension and brake upgrades, Mach 1 striping, and much more.The result is a unique, tasteful custom that stays true to Mustangs new and old.
This car began life as a Premium GT from Texas, delivered from the factory with Torch Red paint along with a Crimson Red leather interior and Shaker 1000 audio system.While this made for a very nice Mustang, it has become something much greater since.The body received a front splitter and GT500 side skirts down low and a CDC Glassback panoramic roof up high.A Foose aluminum hood was installed with a Shaker scoop cutout and racing stripes, while the rear received a black panel with sequential taillights and a GT500 bumper cover.And of course there are the Mach 1 accents including side striping, rear spoiler, side mirrors, and gas cap.The headlight splitters with inboard driving lights are reminiscent of a 1970 front end, while the quarter window covers give a classic fastback look.Finally the black 18” wheels wear Nitto NT555 tires (255 front, 285 rear).
The 4.6L engine has been fitted with a Saleen Speedlab Series VI supercharger with intercooler.The engine also has a high volume oil pump along with a larger throttle body and fuel injectors to keep up with the increased power.JLT oil separators were also installed along with a custom shock tower brace.The exhaust uses long tube headers (no cats) feeding an x-pipe arrangement and Magnaflow mufflers.Dyno tuning in 2019 showed 438 rwhp which translates to more than 500 hp on the motor.A handheld tuner is also included.
The 5-speed transmission uses a McLeod Street Extreme clutch to handle the increased power, followed by a one-piece aluminum driveshaft into the 8.8” rear end with 4.10 gears (the original 3.55 gears are included).The car has a lower stance and features Eibach lowering springs and BMR control arms in front, and a complete BMR setup in back with boxed trailing arms.The brakes received drilled and slotted rotors along with red calipers.
The red leather interior with black panels and carpet are in excellent condition and are the perfect match for the exterior.This Mustang was also ordered with the interior upgrade package which features aluminum dash inserts, MyColor gauges, additional gauges, and Mustang sill plates.It also has the Shaker 1000 audio system with dual subwoofers.Interior modifications were limited to an AutoMeter Nexus gauge setup on the a-pillar along with a shift light, plus a Hurst short throw shifter.The car also has removable Schroth 4-point harnesses for the front seats.
While there are millions of Mustangs out there, this one really stands out.You will not find another one like it.It delivers outstanding performance and amazing looks, not to mention a fantastic supercharger sound.It also comes with the original window sticker and a car cover.If you are looking for something exceptional then you may have found your car.
