1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe
Most every hot rodders dream. This car supposedly was a gasser in the 60s and was a reputed moonshine hauler prior to that but I have no proof.
Previous owner installed direct sheetmetal floors, not too bad of a job, may need some extra welding here and there. Previous owner also installed
new rear tailpan and tool box tray in trunk.and new right 1/4 panel it has some rust issuesin door bottoms. Have all fenders, and an extra
set of rear fenders that are widened fiberglass jobs. Have hood and running boards. Front fenders have been cut in the bumper slot area, most likely for
a tow bar during its racing days. It has a 1957 chevy 283 thats rebuilt from top to bottom, .060 over, flat top pistons, regroaund crank, new rods, all new valvetrain
with a 270 comp cams cam, long slot rockers, double roller timing chain, Mallory dual point dist, edelbrock old school torker intake, holley 600 carb, vintage cal
custom valve covers. This is an actual 1957 engine as it has no side motor mounts, staggered bolt heads and road draft tube. Has a t-10 4speed with hurst shifter,
have all new cluths press plate and hyd throwout bearing. Have pete and jakes bolt in clutch and brake pedals for hyd clutch. Front suspension is a stock 40 ford front
axle with new speedway spindles and brakes and speedway 4bar kit, vega steering box. Rear is a 9 inch ford on chassis engineering leaf spring kit, with 3.50 open 28 spline
axles all new brakes and drums. Also have the chassis engineering front and rear boxing plates not installed, speedway fenderwell headers. Have stock 40 ford bench seat, chrome
fixed column with mooneyes red metalflake wheel. Have drake dash panel, new vdo 5 guage old school gauges, new speedway wiring kit. Also have new bob drake gas tank and filler neck
aluminum radiator and lots of small extras. I have the running baords and bumpers, I DO NOT have any glass or trim, no trunk latch or hood latch and hinges.
Its a roller, engine has not been started but should run. I have a small reserve I won't reveal, just bid to win. I am not interested in ANY trades at all, nor lowball offers.
You will not get this car for 5 grand. I have title to car, not in my name but will change it out for you no problem.
