Description

I have decided to sell my 1946 ford short door businessman’scoupe. Unfortunately the finances are not available for continuing work on mylittle car. This car really is a true survivor. As you can see from the photos thecar is NOT rust free, it has several areas that will need to be repaired. Trunkfloor, door jams and rocker boxes and minor repairs in other areas. The car isvery repairable. I have repair pieces for the trunk, rocker boxes and some ofthe quarter panel section areas. The rest of the car is very solid. The doorpanels and kick panels were redone, the dash was repaired and powder coated. The seat was rebuilt and is in greatcondition, it is the correct seat for a businessman’s coupe. All the gauges aredeluxe gauges and all work except the clock. The lights all work, head lights, tail lights, interior, dash and parking lights. The original flat-head engineruns like new, the person I bought the car from said the engine had beenrebuilt. Don’t know how many miles are on the engine after that rebuild. Car isvery driveable, I drive it all the time to the store or to friends or for fun etc.The clutch appears good however has some chatter when backing up an incline. Thebrakes were rebuilt, (4) new wheel cylinders and break shoes on the front. Therears were good. The gas tank is a new steel tank with an electric fuel pump.New 5/16 copper fuel line installed, rebuilt starter and a new alternator instead of a generator. The windshield is new, all the rest of the glass shouldbe replaced. It’s got four new 15” Coker radial tires and wheels with no morethat 50 miles on them. It has duel exhausts with 22”smitty mufflers. Sound’spretty good if you like the sound of a flat-head. This car is pretty rare inthat it is a survivor and has not been cut up or modified in any way. It is acomplete 1946 Ford Businessman’s Coupe. I don't think there are too many leftthat are in the original condition. (Engine, transmission, suspension, seat, gages etc.) I have some misc. parts that go with the car, (Generator, fuelpump, rear fenders, rear gravel guard etc.) Ifyou have ANY questions, please contact me by email or call me at 619-660-0063.I will answer any questions you may have, thanks for looking.
