Description

1947 Ford Convertible Pro Touring car built by Tucci Engineering and Mike Jonas (Stainless Steel Brake Corp.). This is a very low mileage custom build that has been featured in several hod rod magazines (including Northern Hot Rodder, Street Rodder, and 3 times in Hot Rodder as they documented the build in each successive edition.) Mike Jonas custom built the entire brake system which includes the '47 Ford script 2 piston calipers and Force 10;13 rotors. Here's a list of other items:Sanderson Headers, Borla Stainless Custom Exhaust, Fully detailed GM Ram Jet 350/350hp, March Performance pulleys, Powermaster starter and alternator (chromed), Be Cool Radiator, Custom tube chasis Ford/ Progressive, 90's Corvette Suspension pieces, Dana 44/ 3.73 limited slip gears, GM L460E trans, Bitchin' Firewall, trick front and rear bumper with l.e.d. embedded lights and third l.e.d light at top of trunk rear panel, Flaming River GM tilt wheel, Dakota Digital instruments, Sony stereo, Lincoln Mark VIII seats and shifter, Custom interior, Budnik Wheels (17" front/18" rear), like new 2019/20 tires (275/40Z back and 225/45Z back), Edlebrock chrome water pump, SPAL chrome fan, GM Performance Ram Jet injection, all engine components and intake block sanded and chromed by Street &Perfomance, Mena Az., Denny's Custom Drive Shaft, Chassis plumbing all stainless, rear suspension '91 Corvette, narrowed, in tank fuel pump and custom polished stainless tank, and Ford Thunderbird rack and pinion steering. Coil over shocks have replaced the air bag system that was originally installed, but the plumbing (now under the back seat) and switches are still in place for air. Of course with the smoothed doors there are door poppers. The top frame is original 47 Ford and works and the tan top is like new, but this car was stored indoors since 2018 (when last inspected) with the top down, so the top material will need to be stretched. This car was built for the big shows and smooth, stylish, top down weekend driving and that accounts for the low (821 miles), but she can be driven reliably, moves out fast and stops on a dime! All body panels are metal and Mike was able to find NOS 47 fenders that were melded to the body. The sound system is excellent. The paint still shows well and you may notice that the grille is 47 Chevy and with the narrowed and lowered front end looks great. I can photo copy the magazine ariticles if you like and they and the clear title signed by Mike Jonas will accompany the sale. The car is in my shop in Austin, Texas. I have a lift in the shop. If you fly in for inspection or purchase I'd be happy to pick you up and return you to the airport (which is near the F1 Circuit of the Americas Track). I am the Regional Director of the Central Texas Cadillac and LaSalle Club, a restorer of vintage Cadillacs and a national car judge. I know cars and this one is great. Mike told me that he had over $150k in the build and if you see it in person, especially on the lift you'll see why. There's another orange 47 custom built Ford convertible on the market now for 72k, but it's not nearly the car that this one isnot a Tucci Engineering build. My reserve is less than that. I can send video walk- around, under, and cold start to seriously interested parties and more pictures of course. Ken 512-626-7268
