Description

1947 Ford Super DeLuxe 2-Door

This is a solid car which perhaps looks worse than it really is But Don't let the Sun-Worn paint and its looks fool you.I used to drive this car around my neighborhood 20 years ago before I moved to the mountains.Since then, it has been in storage.Aside from draining out the old gas to get the engine running again, I have recently done very little to the car.The reason being that, depending on what the new owner wants the car for, (ie. Restore, Hot Rod, Rat Rod, or Resto-mod, etc.)anything I would do now might just be wasted effortThe new owner will do what he wants. If you wanted to drive the car now, it would certainly be possible with a careful inspection and a little work to ensure safety. What I found after recently pulling the car out of storage, is that the brakes most likely need new or rebuilt wheel cylinders in that they have dried out. This is not a difficult or expensive to fix. There is tag on the original Flathead V8 showing that it was professionally rebuilt in the past. I don't know exactly how many miles are on the rebuilt engine, but I can tell you it starts and runs remarkably good and strong, almost like a new engine. The odometer currently shows 65,800 miles for the rest of the car, which is still very solid except, as you can see from the pictures, the seats need to be re-upholstered.. The body is mostly straight with some minor dents and surface rust where the Wyoming/Colorado Sun have weathered away the original paint. There is also a small rusted through area on a fender which would not be difficult to fix. (see picture)The rest of the metal is solid, including the under-carriage and the floorboards which still have original paint near the back seat. Most of the trim pieces you see missing in the pictures are stored inside the car. The car is currently stored in Littleton, Colorado, where it is available for inspection.Reserve has been set low enough to ensure a sale. Please feel free to email me with any questions you have and/or if you would like to see the car.
