Description
Rat rods or nostalgic built hot rods have been a trend in custom car building for quite some time now, and because of their use of old parts and build techniques, they never really get dated or obsolete. They are built with personal tastes to honor a period when shiny paint and billet everything didn't matter but having fun with your custom car was the only goal! Each car will be individualized and unique so you can also be guaranteed no one at the next car show will park something similar next to you by comparison!
Offered here is a 1934 Ford Rat Rod Pickup wearing a weathered patina on an original steel body, running boards, and bed.It saw very little by way of body restoration so it will showcase some age and select areas where rust has goten the better of it, but it retains a solid foundation overall. The chassis remains original with the use of an updated drop I-beam front axle and brakes that have been upfitted to hydraulic drum brakes at all four corners.
Under the hood rests a very nicely tuned 59A- 239ci Flathead V8 with performance enhancements to include Edelbrock aluminum finned heads, Edmunds aluminum intake pairing twin Stromberg 97 2-barrel carburetors, Red's Headers, and Mallory dual point distributor! It starts with ease and breaths out through chrome tipped side exhaust without mufflers for quite a wicked sound! The engine mates to a 3-speed manual transmission keeping with an all-Ford component theme.Additional features include wire spoke wheels wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion 4-ply black sidewall tires measuring 5.50x16" up front and 7.50x16" at the rear, full Stewart Warner dash instrumentation, Lincoln steering with knicker knob, original cowl vent and flip-out windshield, twin 'STOP' taillamps, dual outside rearview mirrors, and classic B-L-C sealed beam headlamps.
The body and interior cabin were both beautifully pinstriped with a barbed wire theme along with traditional Von Dutch stylings. The doors both display "Honest Gary's Chicken Ranch- Beaver, UT".You will also find some fun accessories to include a hay bale, milk carrier with a few bottles, toolbox with horseshoeing tools inside, and other versus items from around the ranch just to add another special touch to the overall presentation! Please feel free to call with additional questions or to schedule a chance to review it in person. As always, thanks for looking!
