1958 Ford Ranchero

Rare 1958 Ford Ranchero for sale. Restoration is well on its way. This historic vehicle had rust issues when we started on this project, but thanks to many hours of fab work by one of the best body/metal men in our area the rust has all been replaced with metal. We sandblasted the body before starting the body work which is now 90% complete and straight. We planned on painting it back to its original Raven Black, so the bodywork was long-boarded and the top and hood was reinforced with fiberglass to eliminate any oil canning. The tail light fin end caps are frenched in and a few seams in the front fenders have been welded to add a nice smooth look to the already fabulous body lines.
The car is 98% complete. The original FE motor was replaced with a ’61 FE (not running now). Our plan was to go with a late model drive train. The bumpers and all the bright work are decent. It will need a gas tank as the original was rotted out. The technically difficult work is all done, but I’ve run out of money and energy as well. It’s time for some new blood to pick up the torch and put this bad-assed Ford back on the road and show all the El Camino owners what a real coupe utility should look like.
