Description
Ground up high quality restoration on a COMPLETELY RUST FREE CAR. Everywhere and anywhere you look is like new. Definitely a rare, one of a kind classic.
Exterior: The body is absolutely mint and laser straight, body gaps are precise, and all trim fits perfectly. Doors open and close nice and smoothly even with the windows up. The grill, marker lights, side moldings are mint. Trim on top of bed is straight and polished. Bed is mint and painted a gloss finish. Entire body has a beautiful smooth finished paint. Door jambs, hardware, and latches are clean and operate fine. Glass and weatherstrips are excellent. Fitted with redline tires on chrome GT style wheels.
Interior: From headliner to carpet, the entire interior is like new and proper. The dash area is mint- pad has no cracks, gauges are clean, knobs and levers sparkle, and steering wheel is solid with no cracks. Headliner, visors, upholstery, seat belts, door panels, and carpet are all excellent. Under the dash are some upgraded features such as an FM converter, an 8-track, and a tachometer. Behind the seat is a 5th matching, brand new redline tire for a spare. The original jack looks new and is properly mounted.
Engine compartment: Neat, orderly, and detailed. The firewall and bottom side of the hood is painted a smooth glossy yellow to match the exterior. Other painted areas are a smooth satin black. The motor is the original 302. It's been rebuilt and upgraded with an aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, MSD ignition, and dressed up with some Ranchero finned aluminum valve covers. Most components under the hood are new and many still have the labels on them such as the alternator, master cylinder, and steering pump.
Under carriage: Some of the cleanest original metal you'll see. The floors have spotless seams and factory spot welds are plainly visible. The metal is smooth as the day it was new with a satin black finish. Bottoms of rockers and quarter panels are spotless. Upfront the steering and suspension is all rebuilt. Bottom of motor looks new. Transmission is a rebuilt Hughes cruise-o-matic with aluminum pan. Has custom dual exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Everything looks proper - neatly run brake lines and disc brakes, fuel lines, parking brake cables, and painted gas tank.
There is also lots of extras included - 2nd set of keys, deluxe framed Marti report, original manuals, and literature.
If you love Rancheros, then this is a must see, must have, beautifully restored and maintained classic!
Happy bidding and Good Luck!
