Description

The Ford Ranchero! The Original Business in the Front and Party in the Back vehicle!
You got everything you need to be a badass muscle car, plus you can throw whatever your weekend project is in the back!
This is a fairly original (Q code) Ranchero 500 showing 33,578 miles with only a few things changed and/or modified. This has been a strictly southeastern car, being built in Georgia and stayed there for most its life until 2nd owner brought it to South Carolina. It has the original 351-4V Cobra Jet motor that sounds mean and ready to tear down the streets with its headers and believed to be Thrush exhaust dumping out in front of the rear tires! It has its original C6 Select Shift automatic transmission with a B&M pan installed linked to its original 3.25 conventional rear axle. It is also equipped with the factory Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, and Air Conditioning (original owner removed compressor for HORSEPOWER). A few of the major things that has been changed is the paint color, seats, and an upsize to more common 15" wheels/tires.
Story we received was the car was painted and color changed by its original owner about 4 years ago. The original color was the (4Q) code Dark Green Metallic and had a Green interior to match, including a (URA) code Medium Green Vinyl Bench Seat. The color is now a White Cream type color with black out hood/tailgate treatment, and what looks to possibly be a tan Ford Ranger bench seat inside. The owner passed away while restoring the looks of the car, so it still needs a little TLC to finish it up including just some minor trim pieces like windshield trim, door gaskets, and door panels. You may even decide to paint it back to original color and make it look similar to Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino movie car or make it how you like, the sky is the limit!
The spark plugs, wires, and brakes have all been replaced recently. Also includes a couple boxes of parts that may be required to finish the car. Including some spare chrome valve covers, chrome trans dipstick tube, door gaskets, door panels, window seal, etc.
While this 1972 Ranchero does run and drive well, it should be completely inspected and serviced before any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. Clear TITLE in hand.
This would be perfect for cruise night, advertising and promotional use, shop/work truck, or as a kickass addition to your collection! On Feb-11-22 at 09:09:15 PST, seller added the following information:Just in time for its 50th Anniversary!!
