Description
1936 Ford Roadster
You are viewing a very rare and original Henry Ford steel roadster. Owned for the last 20 years. Everything is original Henry steel with the car being all original except converted to 12 volt. The car was restored in the 70’s and not sure on the year and has 85K original miles. Likely less than 10K since restored. Great patina and shows well. Fun car to drive and runs like a sewing machine. Nice car that drives well.
Please read on for more particulars of the car:
Body/Paint: The body is in very good condition with no rust or dents. The paint is single stage lacquer like original. Overall the paint is in good condition, but has signs of ware in a few spots with a little crazing with some chips here and there. Really shows well though. The color is the special fall color, which is a burgundy. Great color on a roadster.
Top: Top was done at the same time with the restoration w/boot. Shows well with good patina.
Interior: The interior is vinyl in overall good condition. The seat has a seam tear that could be repaired. Rumble seat looks like new. Original radio from factory with original speaker. In operational condition, but wasn’t dealt with when the conversion from 6 to 12 volt was done so at the moment it doesn’t work. All the gauges work.
Running Gear: All original to the car and restored in great working order.
Suspension: All original and restored.
Bright work: All in very presentable condition with some signs of age.
Glass: Replaced.
Exhaust: In good working order with new muffler.
Brakes: In good working order and just adjusted.
Wheels/Tires: Stock wheels with spider caps, rings and main cap. Original style bias tires with lots of tread.
Summary: 36 Roadsters are very rare and hard to come across particularly in such nice original condition. Fun car to drive and enjoy. Great start to a high end street rod build or just enjoy as a stocker. I have over 100 pictures of the car so please contact me and provide your email address if you would like additional pictures. Reasonable price so why build when you can enjoy today. Great value for the money.
Disclaimer: The car is for sale locally. The owner has the right to cancel the auction at any time for any reason. No warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied with the car being sold in "AS IS" condition.
Feel free to call me to discuss the particulars.
