Description
32 Ford Roadster..Original Riverside California Hotrod owned between two life long high school friends and family for 70+ years.
This car was raced SCTA on the flats of El Mirage & Bonneville in the 40's (have pictures and documentation) by Jim Plummer then sold to my father 1949, my father sold it back too Jim in 1972, Jim passed away 2000 and his daughter inherited the car 10 years later i acquired it from her..Jim restored the car mid-80's frame off black lacquer no expense spared best of everything down to the correct hardware using cotter pins & safety wire with the goal of old school hotrod with the period correct upgrades. The red leather dash was done in 1945 by Bud Swing of Riverside. The Speedo/Tach gauge according to my father came from a 1936 Hudson Terra-plane but thats never been confirmed, smaller duplex gauges early Chevy, air pump for race fuel tank. Car is early 1932 production as per firewall design & hood latches..I saw the car in the 80s after Jim finished it and he told me "you wont find one better" which sounds arrogant but i'd concur and many experts had nothing but positive comments...
