Description

You are looking at the only Pace car that started the Race at the Watkins Glen Speedway in 1987 . Nice nut and bolt restoration , witch I did most of the work, almost 7 years on and off torn it down, strip paint to bare , sent off to paint, then all the extra Red , White and Blue paint to another shop, then had a clear coat added . look at the front end , motor bay Had the whole front engine bay powder coated White . Most of the nuts and bolts cleaned and coated too, or I bought OEM nuts and bolts too . Many years of step by step work was done , rebuilt engine , most is Stock, new flywheel and clutch , all belts , hose.., engine parts also powder coated .,valve cover, pulleys inner cooler and much more..Any NOS parts that I could find are on the car , witch means Glass front and rear and 1/4 glass, every light on the car is NOS , alot of interior parts are also NOS . Dash has no cracks, A/C is now R-134 , nice and cold too . Does have a Alum. Rad. as a upgrade to the OEMI believe that was the only upgrade done , wanted to keep this resto to a High grade OEM stock . Exhaust is as close as i could get to the OEM look .
Had a magazine wanting to do a report on this car was not done at the time , but asked me many of many questions to make sure this was the real pace car , after that long interview was told i do have the car and is the real car . I have 5 other Thunderbirds , just getting ready to retire and a few cars will be up for sale . Have a great AMG Benz , soon to sell too .
Any questions just ask, I can help on any type of shipping too .
Great to add to any Ford collection, or Show room at a dealership .
Please No trades , have too many cars now .Thanks, Daniel Ballman32AOL
