1966 Ford Thunderbird

1966 Thunderbird Town Hardtop. 390 4 bbl. V-8 mated to the C6 Cruise-O Matic Transmission with power steering and power front disc brakes. Original factory color Arcadian Blue with Dark Blue Interior. Has power windows including power vent windows, power door locks and trunk release. Factory AM Radio with Stereo 8 Track Player. Has the unique Swing-Away Steering Column, sequential turn signals, wrap around rear seat, and overhead center console. Engine was rebuilt, new paint, rear leaf springs, and brakes system rebuilt in the 90's. Car was only used for car shows and cruise-ins after refurbish until around 2002 accumulating around 35 trophy's and awards. Owner passed and acquired by his son who stored it in climate controlled environment driving occasionally to keep in running condition. I purchased it from him early this year. I installed new gas tank due to rust in tank, complete service, installed new radial tires and had it aligned. New updated sequential turn signal and brake light module installed. The paint is over 25 years old and still in great condition, no paint or overspray on chrome or trim making it hard to tell not original finish. Chrome and stainless steel trim very nice "not pitted". Interior is original and in excellent condition. Has new floor mats. Engine compartment highly detailed. Underside clean and rust free. Original factory correct dual exhaust system. All books and manuals, including shop manual. I did not detail this car, this is how it was kept and looked when I purchased it. I took it to local car show recently and received another trophy to add to the collection. Runs, looks, drives, and stops great. Super quiet and floats down the road. Needs nothing to enjoy as is. All lights and everything works, except as noted. But no such thing as a perfect car. Minor Defects: Clock doesn't work, split in driver door armrest, has exhaust donut starting to leak, transmission does leak fluid when parked, 8 track player speed varies, turn signal doesn't cancel when turning right, "have new switch in glove box".
