Description
1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, red with white interior. Solid and straight, it drives like new. Chrome redone on bumpers and interior parts. New seat covers. New carpet. Power windows and driver seat. Power steering and disc brakes. 390cc engine. Recent repairs include; replaced timing chain, water pump, radiator, hood hinges, brake cylinder, new oil pan and transmission gaskets, oil cooler lines, rear brakes and bearings, rear axle oil, right exhaust manifold, fuel tank replaced, electric radiator fan for hot days, heater fan control switch replaced. Hoses have been replaced. It has seat belts front and back. Repaced the sequential turn signal control with an electronic unit.
The convertible top works that has been a labor of love to say the least. Getting 10 plus 50 year old relays to work in concert is next to impossible. I finally “hard wired” each function and control the operation from the grove compartment. It has two pumps, one for the deck lid and one for the top. No more issues getting rained on and the top won’t work. If you are looking for a show car completely original, this vehicle is not for you. This Tbird is for dependable daily use and is a blast to drive.
Things that need fixed are; the left rear power window, some paint imperfections, minor rear deck lid dents, front tires are worn, should have a front end alignment done, windshield washers and the car does not have rear wheel fender skirts. I put the original AM radio back in since the aftermarket FM unit was junk. I a lot of extra parts you are welcome to have. I have priced the car well below what I have invested.
