Description
1969 Ford Torino Cobra 428 Ram Air
Car originated from Bud Meadows Ford in Oregon. I do not have all the history but the car eventually made it to a Chicago area Car dealer in the early 2000's and then to Bob Gillingham Ford in Ohio. I purchased it from Gillingham shortly thereafter. There is a copy of the Marti report in the ad. Please refer to this to see exactly how this car was born.
Drive Train:
I purchased the car from the dealer as a "Numbers matching" driveline, I have been unable to confirm vin on engine block due to it being in a very difficult place to read when the engine is in the car. If you want the number confirmed before purchase of the car I will make every effort to do so. Only driveline change from stock that i'm aware of is the addition of the Hurst shifter for the transmission. All mechanical systems work as they should, Get in and drive anywhere.
Exterior:
Car has had one professional repaint in it's original color (exact time of repaint unknown). Very straight body panels, with no signs of rust or plastic filler. Paint quality is excellent. I believe rear bumper has been re-chromed as it has no pitting or other surface defects. Front bumper is showing small amount of pitting and has one very small scuff under RH headlamp area. Chrome trim below rear quarter windows has very light pitting (see picture). Frame and underbody very solid. Car does have undercoating on frame and bottoms of floors. If you need more pictures underneath the car please see contact information below.
Interior:
Overall excellent interior, No rips or other issues with any of the seats. Carpet is still very good. Previous owner had changed the radio opening for an aftermarket unit. (see dash pics). I have a very nice lower dash that goes with the sale of the car or you can repair the current panel.(again refer to pics). Car now has correct AM radio but is not electrically hooked up. Interior trim piece on rh side of rear package shelf needs to be repaired.
Contact information:
With supersize pictures and Marti Report, I hope you can get a good idea of how well this car shows. Please contact Eric at 440-781-8577 EST with any questions or to arrange a test drive. I will monitor for online questions but prefer phone call if you are a serious buyer. Buyer is responsible for all transportation arrangements and costs.
