Marti report
A rare gem, low production numbers makes this car a great investment. 1 of 50 built with this Color/Trim combo (see Marti Report) And to top it off 50,000 Original low miles! There’s even Factory Chalk Markings still in the Engine Compartment (see pic).
The original Build Sheet from the assembly line was found under the carpet between the tar sound deadner.
All the Original Factory Carlite Glass including the windshield is in pristine condition.
I bought my car from the original owner who lived in Palm Desert California. Take a look at the car in Original paint just before I received it back then (see pic)
This Torino started out as a very straight original car. Original set of FORD keys supplied.
I had it repainted the same original color because the old paint was faded in too many spots.
Never any rust from salty roads! Southern California Born and Raised! This car was stored periodically which attributed to the very low mileage of 50k.
The under carriage is very straight and rust free as you can see. You can notice the factory red oxide primer under the car. Factory Original Floor Pans, Frame Rails, Rocker Panels, Torque Boxes all in excellent shape with no previous damage or rust repair. All detailed.
Rock solid as a car would be living in the desert its whole life.
The Torino still retains its original (2) California Blue plates issued in 1970. First sold at Walker Buerge Ford in Santa Monica and still retains one original plate frame.
The interior is original with no cracks in the original dash pad. Looks excellent. I had a brand new high end Stay Fast Cloth Top (same as Mercedes) installed with rear Glass Window to the power top. Looks so much better. No cheap vinyl top or plastic window used here.
The original color paint which is the first re-paint is new with no scratches or chips. Someone had a nice paint applied after everything was stripped from the car. Many hours of long block sanding to give it a very smooth deep look in between coats of High End Glasso clear.
Added new 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels with correct center caps just like back in the day with brand new fat BFG TA Radial tires. Less than 100 miles on them. New Coil Springs up front with spring seats and add a-leaf in rear Springs. New shocks front and back. New power brakes. The bright fender lip moldings are factory original and not cheap reproductions that don’t fit properly. I had them reworked taking out any door dings and buffed back out. They installed back perfectly as expected.
All new Roof Rubber seals and misc door seals and window felts. I added my CNC Machined clamps that I made in my Machine shop to hold the front spoiler on. I could not bring myself to drilling holes in the original body panel. (See pics) I also sell these clamps in my “Other Auctions”
All new Flow Master Aluminized exhaust from the Manifolds to the dual chrome tips out the back. The perfect gurgling sound for this GT car! Drives Smooth and Straight.
Plenty of power with the top down, This is what it’s all about, what more could you ask for? Muscle Car and Sporty in one package.
If your looking for a very low mile original that’s never had its engine opened up or rebuilt , this is it. Runs as smooth as silk, just as a factory built engine should. Never gets hot even in extreme driving conditions, temp needle goes to about 40% unlike rebuilt motors that tend to run hot because of thinner piston walls. Take care of it with periodic oil changes and you could get 500K miles out of it. These engines were built right from the factory to last!
I am selling a used car so car is sold as is where is with no warranties implied or given. Pickup is the buyer’s responsibility. I will assist in any way possible. Car can be delivered locally to a transit company for International shipping.
I recommend for you to come and see the car, you won’t be disappointed. It’s much nicer looking in person. Pictures do it no justice.
$2,000 within 48 hours of end of auction. Balance is to be paid in full within 7 days.
