Description

For sale is my rare 1962 XL Falcon Ute which I have owned for about 8 years. I am only the second owner and the car was removed from a paddock in Parkes NSW and had not been driven for over 25 years. The car was a high compression 170 3 speed synchro, quite a rare spec for a standard Ute. This was verified from the original body tags. Unfortunately, the original engine and gear box were not salvagable.
The car has excellent doors, front guards, roof, engine bay panels, scuttle, rear quarter panels and inner and outer sills. Original dash odometre reads less than 70,000 miles which I believe to be original.
I have added XP front suspension and sterring components, XA disc brakes, XW dual master cylinder, 8 inch Mustang diff and fabricated a rear mount for a BW single rail gear box. My original plan was to eventually fit a 260/289 V 8. The car has been set up for a 4.1 X flow six. At the moment the car is a rolling shell.

Car has been driven with X Flow - BW 'Box and diff in situ. All brakes and drive train drove well. This car will make an excellent project. Most of the hard work is done. Unfortunately, I have another project on the go and there is no room or time for the Ute. These cars are becoming quite rare and need to be saved.
