Ford Zephyr MK2 Sedan

The MK2 Zephyr was first released in Australia in late 1956. It was upgraded in late 1957 including a different grille & then in late 1959 more significant upgrades were made including a reduction in the turret height (becoming known as the Lowline series) & a completely new instrument/dash layout. The Zephyr MK2 was by far superior in all respects to any Holden of its day up until the release of the 179 EH. On the race track of the day, particularly in the UK & Europe it was only outpaced by the likes of Jaguar MK1 & MK2 sedans.
The pictures tell much of the story as to the condition of this vehicle. Originally manufactured by Ford in late 1959, it was totally rebuilt approx 15 years ago and underwent a further bare metal respray in 2pack paint approx 5 years ago, it remains in very good condition. Mechanically it is very good and no expense has been spared in keeping it that way. It drives, handles,performs & stops very well and is fitted with the rare overdrive manual gearbox. The power heater works well & it is also fitted with a modern radio. Tyres are in excellent condition & it is fitted with a laminated front windscreen. The front & rear screen rubbers were replaced at the time of the respray. Front & rear bumpers were re-chromed several years ago & remain as new, all other chrome trim is in excellent condition although there are a couple of small dents on one of the waist line door trims which can be rectified by a specialist repairer these days. The engine is fitted with extractors & the old generator has been replaced with a modern alternator. There is no damage to the interior upholstery & all instrumentation & electrics works very well. The vehicle has been awarded numerous trophys & awards over the years at numerous Car Shows as shown in one of the pictures. Please note it is currently on Club Conditional registration which is NOT transferable.There are also a significant number of spare parts included in the sale, far too many to list here, but a listing can be made available on request. The parts may yet be sold as a bulk lot & if that does occur the price of the vehicle will be reduced accordingly. I am listing the vehicle on behalf of the Widow & family of an old friend who passed away recently, inspections can be arrange by contacting me by email initially & I will then provide the relevant phone numbers. The vehicle is normally located at Lithgow NSW but can be brought to Kurrajong NSW which is closer to Sydney for inspection purposes. If an International buyer is interested we will assist where we can with arranging shipping but all costs are to be covered by the purchaser, Please also note the vehicle is listed elsewhere including directly with a number of Zephyr Zodiac Clubs so the listing maybe withdrawn at any-time.
