Description

We bought this truck for our daughter last summer for her to have when she turned 16 at the first of the year; within a couple of weeks she realized it was too much truck for her, so she and her dad swapped vehicles; dad has a truck already so we do not need this one. It is a 1998 GMC Z71 Sierra K1500 Off Road Package 4WD 2DR Regular Cab Pick Up. It has a 5.0L V8 Engine that runs EXCELLENT! It has: -4WD -Off Road Package -Towing Package -Cruise Control -Power Windows, Locks, and Mirrors -Driver and Passenger Airbags, ABS Brakes -Bed Liner -We replaced the factory stereo w/a nice JVC CD Player. We have done some repairs to the vehicle; it had minor issues when we bought it, they are: -We replaced the AC Compressor and the air will freeze you out! Heater is very hot also - like a little dragon under the hood! -Replaced the factory, smoked up headlights with new ones. -Aligned the Front End. -There was a timing issue due to the previous owner not getting the timing correct; however, before finding that out we replaced the -Cam Positioning Sensor, Crank Positioning Sensor, Distributer Drive Gear, Distributer Cap and Button, Spark Plugs and Wires - finally took it to someone to set the time and found out that was the original problem to start with and all of the items were replaced unnecessarily, but it's a plus for you! About a month ago it was experiencing a "bogging" down every so often; we finally figured it was a faulty fuel pump and replaced it, no problems since then! In the search to find out what was causing the "bogging" down we replaced quite a few things that did not need to be replaced in order to figure out the cause; the list of what was replaced that did not need to be (but that is essentially a good thing for the buyer!) is: -Had the Spider Injector inspected and it was found to be good, but did replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator. -Replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the EGR Valve. -Finally got to the Fuel Pump and that was the problem; replaced it and now it runs like it's New!! While we had the vehicle apart attempting to fix this problem we went ahead and replaced the Upper and Lower Intake Gaskets for good measure. We have taken very good care of this vehicle in the time we've had it. It runs like a dream and looks very good! It looks TERRIFIC! Interior is in Great Condition also! The Odometer shows 172,650 but when we purchased it, the gentleman said the engine had been replaced and it had less than 95,000 miles on it; we have put less than 1000 miles on it, by far.
