Description
You are looking at a restored 1951 GMC Pickup in great condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. This truck is currently being driven and will accumulate "post restored" mileage as time goes on. It continues to bring home awards from almost all shows it has attended. The truck runs very well, it very well could be driven home depending on the distance. Cross country would not be recomended due to weather variations.
This truck was originally built at the GM Truck Plant in Pontiac Michigan. It spent a significant amount of time in Texas (where I acquired it) that I can document going back to the mid 80's. I purchased it in 2003 and dragged it to Michigan where I completed its restoration. At the 2012 Scottsdale Barrett Jackson auction, about 10 vehicles similiar to this (GMC and Chev) sold between $24-48K. I was there and inspected every one of them. My truck would probably end up in the middle of this group. I am not looking to get $36K for this truck, but I will not sell for less than the reserve I have put on it. The reserve price is very reasonable, whether you want the truck for your own personal use or are interested in re-selling it. If you have further questions, please feel free to call me and talk. Thanks, Doug, 989-868-3123.
