2004 GMC 3500 4X4 19' HODGES BED
I purchased this truck about 5 years ago from a friend of mine. He owns a body shop, and his shop rebuilt this truck. He buys the salvage title trucks fixes them drives them for at least 6 months and then sells them. I know the quality of his company's work, so I had no problem purchasing this truck. When i bought this truck, it was still a 1 ton dually with a pickup bed. It was changed over to the Hodges bed during my ownership. I have hauled a lot of very expensive cars on this rig and i have to say it has never let me down. The injectors, fuel rails and all related items were all done at about a 160k miles. It was maintained religiously by me. The oil was changed every 5k and the fuel filter and tranny filter every 10k
The body on this truck is in pretty good shape for a truck of this era. It had a front-end collision so some of the front of this truck has been repainted, but I believe the rest of the truck to be the original paint. (The bed was in really nice shape before I took it off) It is just now starting to rust in cab corners and a little on rockers also. The rest of truck is pretty nice with very few scratches or dings.
Mechanically, I would hop in this truck and drive it anywhere. As I said it was always religiously maintained and whatever it needed was done. Over the years the brakes were completely gone through. There have been some front-end parts changed newer tires etc. It drives good, steers and stops good with no funny noises.
The interior is in decent shape with a little separation on driver's seat bolster. The driver's side carpet is a little worn, but the rest of the truck is in decent shape. All interior functions work as they should which includes cold a/c and hot heat. There is an airbag light on. (Not sure if airbags work or not) The key fob I believe needs a battery. There is no check engine light on now but It has randomly kicked obd code po540 over the years. It has no effect on performance of truck and if you erase it will stay off for a long time.
I am selling this truck because I purchased a 2015 Dodge Ram Hodges bed truck with a lot less miles. Not sure if that was a wise decision because I am already replacing the turbo. I have tried to be as truthful as possible in my description but there are always things that can be left out. Please call with any questions and you will get honest answers. All inspections by you or your representee should be done before auction ending. This truck is being sold where is as is with no warranties written, expressed or implied.
