Description
Overall this rig is an awesome daily driver style suburban.
It's the kind of rig that you can set your beer on the roof and not worry about a scratch. It gets compliments daily and is a great representation of a vehicle that just does what it's supposed to do, drive anywhere and look good. You don't find suburbans like this very often and most are either restored to the point of being unenjoyable or are rusted out and buckets. What you'll be getting if you are the winning bidder is a great daily driver style suburban that can tow, haul lots of people, cruise on the highway with ease, go to car shows, and overall bring a smile every time you drive it. Most everything works on it and it has that feel when you shut the door and it makes that thud sound, that you're back in the 70's. You will love this.
This is a 1972 GMC Suburban. This vehicle has lived nearly all of its life in the dry climate of Eastern Washington in the Tri-Cities area.
It was originally a 3/4 ton years ago.
The previous owner converted it to a 1/2 ton
Added an LS1 corvette motor and a 700R4 transmission.
This suburban cruises on the highway going 75 mph at 2,200 rpm's
It is a highway cruiser. Drives nice, starts up every time, and overall is a well taken care of suburban.
Here's a rundown of some notes:
• the fuel injection and computers were removed 2 years ago. They became problematic and it made more sense to put a manifold and carb back on it. It starts every time, cold or not, choke works, and idles at a cool 600 rpm's.
• Dual fans keep it nice and cool
• Within the last 6 months, a brand new Brother's 5/6 lowering kit was installed including all new arms, joints, etc This thing rides great and was lowered correctly
• It has a brand new flowmaster exhaust that sounds phenomenal.
• New windshield and seal, but already has recently gotten a little chip in it :(
• New front door seals but the glue hasn't held so they are still needing a little love to get the glue to settle
• New hidden hitch behind the license plate
• New front brakes
• Newer detroit steel 20" wheels with custom mounted GMC repop hubcaps and beauty rings
• Cruise control is installed, but not currently working
• tilt and power steering
• Interior out of a 90's suburban with power driver seat. All works and is very comfortable
• No rust, small amount of surface style rust above the windshield seal seen in pics.
• FACTORY REAR A/C that works
I have tried to remember and display everything here as honest as possible.
It could use a buff job on the paint again, it shines so nice after someone buffs it out. The orange shines and the light reflects off of it so nice.
Don't hesitate to ask any questions. I am only selling this to pay for a few unexpected bills. Otherwise, I would keep it and my family would continue to enjoy it.
