Description
A truly remarkable example of the highly sought after GMC Typhoon, showing only 41,195 miles on the odometer, this is one of only 2,200 units produced in 1993. When the Typhoon was released in 1992 it was dubbed the " Corvette Killer", with 280 HP and 380 ft/lbs of torque you can fully appreciate the reasoning when you drive it. The factory black on black color combination only adds to the killer mystique of this vehicle.
The interior of this Typhoon is as close to perfect as you will find. The leather is beautiful, no tears, scratches or flaws. Dash id flawless and all the gauges work. A true turbo boost gauge and a K & N cold air system have been added ( original air cleaner system included the vehicle). Other than these two additions, the Typhoon appears to be totally stock. The rear seats literally do not appear to have ever been sat in! There is a 1 inch circle stain on the rear compartment carpet, where the color appears slightly bleached out form the surrounding color. That's the worst thing I can say or find for this description. The CD player will not accept a CD, however I have heard the exact same comment from other Typhoon owners.
The ride is amazing with ZERO body squeaks or groans, it appears this vehicle was pampered by its two previous owners. My understanding is that this Typhoon had one high quality professional paint job, by the original owner, over absolutely no damage or rust. This was done approximately 10 years ago, but it still shows like it was painted yesterday ( good storage makes all the difference ). There are areas of some corrosion beginning on the factory wheels due to deterioration of the clear coat, but there seems to be a lot of places now offering wheel restoration.
Included with the Typhoon is the mint condition factory manual in the glove box, a dealer pamphlet specifically for the Typhoon, a 1993 Typhoon service manual supplement, magazines of tests on these vehicles, and copies of multiple road tests by other magazines. Even the original key knock outs are in the Typhoon!
I will personally perform all the brokerage duties and costs, and deliver the vehicle into Michigan, with a 100% clear title, to be then transported to your location by the transporter of your choice. I can even help with the selection of a reputable carrier.
