Description

A VERY Hard vehicle to find! This is the SUV you want to pull any trailer, rated up to 12,000lbs. No SUV has surpassed this. We searched for several months to find one of these, then purchased this in south PA last August to prepare for a massive trip this summer for $12,000 (It is a Jersey truck). I drove 6 hours each way to get it.
There are very few made with the required options:8.1 liter Big Block LS-based Motor (340hp/455tq stock)
HD 2500 frame
4L85E Transmission (just serviced)
4:11 gears with locking solid axle rear differential (just serviced)
4WD (serviced and upgraded, see below)
Added performance:
UltraPower Custom tuning ($1199), Stage 1= computer tuning, plugs, wires (+70hp, 80tq)Volant Air intake ($300)Full true dual Stainless 3" exhaust with Magnaflow chambered mufflers ($1089)18" MKW Wheels with BF Goodrich T/A KO tires ($1900)Upgraded Curt hitch ($250)New Reese Brake controllerBillet upgraded Transfer Case ($1150)
Recent maintenance for a summer cross-country trip (~$3000 here):
Rear main replacedOil pan gasketCrank position sensorReplace oil pump to Melling hv77-81Transmission serviceTransmission mounts replacedDifferentials serviced Evap canister/solenoid/vent Undercoated A/C refresh. Gaskets, condenser replaced.New HD fan and fan clutchTaylor hardened anodized lock bolts for exhaust manifold
We were going to keep this for a LONG time and justified spending a ton of money as you can see, to make it "just right." However, 2 days before our cross-country trip, the A/C lost cooling. Our mechanic was unable to get us in, so in a panic, we purchased a RAM 3500 diesel pickup to safely make the trip and not have to cancel it. (It was over 100 degrees across most of the country this summer). We are locked into the RAM now, so someone will benefit greatly from our loss on the Yukon. It is a GREAT truck, and very useful. I get between 12-13mpg mixed driving, and 14-15 highway without a trailer. With our 10,000lb trailer, I was getting 8.5-9mpg locally. Not bad for what it is at all, and the tuning helped a lot. Call with any questions or further details. Thank you for your interest; I am a seller with integrity!
