1987 VL Holden Commodore Berlina.
Unmolested vehicle Original 153,000km. Never been in an accident!
I bought this car a few years ago from an old couple that had it for 14 years. They bought it off the original owners who were family relatives.
The original books are with the car. Car was purchased new from Dwyers Holden, Wollongong in 1987.
This car from day one has been very well looked after and never thrashed. The colour is called Venetian Red and is starting to show its age as it is now 27 years old and Holdens paint quality at the time was crap.
VL Calais polished rims are fitted, with tires that are near new.
The car has an original Cobra alarm which is rare to find. Has two remotes and original isolation key. Alarm has been unplugged, but is all there.
I had plans of keeping this car forever so spared no expense on anything to improve the car.
** Complete A/C overhaul. New compressor, evaporator, drier, TX valve. All new. Works perfect.
** New shocks
** Lowered Lovell's coils
** New sway bar bushes
** New Caster bushes
** New radiator over flow bottle
** New universal joints, center bearing and tail shaft balance.
** New Gear box mounts
** Gear box service, new fluid and filter
** New Tie rod ends
** New Power steering rack.
** New Wheel Bearings
** New Fuel Injectors
** New IAC Valve
** New Distributor
** New coil pack
** Diff oil changed with new cover gasket
** New Panhard rod bushes
** New AC Delco Battery
** Extractors and full 2.5" free flow exhaust system with High flow Cat.
Just to mention some. I wanted this car perfect, so anything that even showed minor signs of ware I replaced.
Steering wheel is not sun damaged and all floppy like they get. Firm with most grip. 9.5/10.
Car has the factory digital radio and working electric antenna, with no holes cut for aftermarket speakers. Interior is like new.
Car has no rust at all. None in the boot, none around the front or rear screens, perfect.
The only fault I can say is the car needs a new paint job as the paint is 27 years old. This was something I was leaving till last on the list.
This car is not my everyday driver and is mostly stored under cover. Car has full 12 months rego till Sept 2015, and will pass any inspection without hesitation.
I am not desperate to sell this car and really don't want to, but other cars have taken my interest and something has to give!
Car can be viewed in Sydney during business hours. No test pilots, tire kickers or time wasters.
