Description
This is simply a realisation sale as my passion has shifted to watercraft after 30 years, Hence i am selling most of my car collection.
I have had this VN BT1 for a while and it is a honest car that needs very little.
Car is accident free apart from a light hit from a trailer reversing into the LHF corner. This was simply cosmetic .
I still have the original bar to prove it and will supply another gaurd.
Build date March 1991 last registered about 7 years ago
As far as i understand it received the SS treatment straight after the police force moved it on.
All SS parts seem to be genuine, Car also has electric windows and a towbar
Apart from the BT1 Cluster, Radio ,Seats and door card inserts everything else BT1 is there.
Apart from the cluster everything is easy to get to go back to original if thats your thing
The 304 is strong and runs perfect on both fuels. Transmission does what it should and the LSD is quite and working well. Car runs cool ,I have no issue driving this car anywhere.
Interior is very clean and very presentable and better then most not restored VN commodores.
Drivers front seat has a very small cigarette burn in the velour.
All other seats in very good condition
Roof lining in very good condition
Carpets in very good condition
Front door trims are bubbling near the armrest but not torn and still look good
SS steering wheel will need restoring. BT1 Steering wheel comes with the car.
Current work to date is as follows
New RDA slotted and dimpled front discs, New front brake pads and front wheel bearings
New Internal and external fuel pumps
New fuel rail regulator and fuel filter
Injector and fuel tank clean
New spark plugs
New power steering pump
New fan belts
New rack boots
Car has not been driven and all above work is fresh
Known small issues
Small engine oil leak (sump gasket)
Electric mirrors and central locking not working
Electric Aerial mask needs replacing
Rear tyres need replacing
Windscreen might need replacing
Aircon regas
For the cost of a basic buff and painting the front bar, left guard and body moulds you will have a clean reliable streeter. I have been quoted $550
If you are fussy like i would be a closed door respray will make it perfect. i have been quoted around 4k with no assembly or disassembly .
I have been as honest as i possibly can and in no way in a rush to sell
