Description
Up for sale is my 86 vl commodore
it was origanaly a manual 6 cylinder car,
but now has a 5.7 litre chev motor and 6 speed box.
The motor and box came out of a vx clubsport r8 and has 150000klms
its got a 300kw maffless tune, pacemaker extractors and a single 3 inch exhaust.
the shifter is a mal wood ultimate street shifter, and makes gears nice and close, and stops third gear lock out.
the diff is a lsd from a vr with 3.9 gears and vl turbo centre
the dash has been done with gps aftermarket speedo, saas tacho, and water temp gauge. also I put an after market fuel pressure reg and gauge on the rail.
the car has over 6 months rego and is pretty much ready to be engineered, just need reverse lights working and charcoal canester.
bad points are. the body needs a little work, it had a fresh respray but car wasn't perfectly straight before painting, but that's about all.
the car has had a lot of time and money spent on it and isn't for the faint hearted, as it only weighs less than 1200 kgs. and burns up tyres quite easy so not p plate friendly.
