Description

1982 vh commodore,
308cu in, 3 speed auto, Lowered on king springs with 18" alloys, HDT body kit.
This car does have rust, most I have treated and bogged and painted, boot has had rust removed and been welded, rear quarter lower guard panel replaced, bought this car as a project with my son (fitter welder)
Car was to good mechanically, not to save, engine runs beautifully with good power being 308 with rochester carby and extractors, original owner kept it well maintained, also added a Pellet Performafuel canister setup for lead replacement ( designed by I believe Rolls Royce for spitfire aircraft sent to Russia to combat their poor fuel. it must work cause car has been running on unleaded for 13yrs, you can see it in engine photo (it cost $465 in 2003)
possibly a rare item in its self.
I bought car from a guy who claimed it was ex police (trying to cash in on Brock upgrades done to cop cars back then) but I have not been able to find any proof of this.
My idea of this car was for a few thousand bucks, you have a car that if you stood back 3 mtrs it would look like a 30k brocky, I have a Group 3 SS sticker kit for it.
For $50 a year its on Historic conditional rego (join a local car club ,I pay $45 membership) Allows you to use it 60 days per year unlimited mileage with RTA log book. (rego is not transferable, although car has just passed inspection last week)
body is a bit ruff in places and paint is ordinary, with crows feet in places and thin in others (unless you standing back and then it looks like it does in the photos. I have painted below black door trim on doors and below bumper on rear, still have lower front to paint and as its a mobile resto (I drive it and sometimes patch it its a rolling resto)
My theory is its 34yrs old and there are less of them every day so I keep it alive and enjoy it. (they drive as good as any performance vehicle I own) Reason for selling is Ive lost my dry clean storage space and its now under a carport with a cover on it, not ideal.
If you would like more detailed photos I will try my best to forward.
Inspection is welcome.
car is located in NSW on far north coast 50klm north of Grafton and 90klm south of Ballina can deliver to local transport company or be available for pickup.
any questions don't hesitate to message me through ebay
Have a set of original 15" mags with good tyres (photo 11) that were on the car when i bought it and would reduce the price by $500 with them instead of 18"s
Interior is good with new carpet, rear seat doesn't match front so have black cover on it, roof lining is shabby but does the job.
Power steering no air con
