Description
LISTING AGAIN DUE TO SCAMMERS AND TIME WASTERS GALORE.
It's really simple, don't bid unless you are wanting to buy the car. Don't just keep bidding to see where the reserve is and then not even respond to messages after that
Everyone says it, you are bidding to buy, not to look.
Look at the car first and then bid, what a great idea!
The car needs a tune, one new tyre and a front end alignment as the wishbones just got changed with NOS ones and the brakes need another bleed (I changed the brake master cylinder). I am prepared to pay and get these items done before pickup, but only after the 10% deposit is made from the winning bidder.
Please read all the description and conditions too, they're there to help you in your decision as to whether to bid or not. This also stops people needing to send messages asking questions on things that have already been included in the description.
1964 EH PREMIER WAGON
12 Port 202 with a Celica Steel Case 5 Speed fully engineered
I've had the car since 2003 but have known the cars history since 1989. It was bought by a friend off the original owners family and had a full restoration over about 2 years. It had every single nut and bolt removed and was fully stripped in a tank etc. All the weld seams etc were resealed as per original specs etc and had a full respray including sound deadener etc in the right places. It was resprayed in the original colour, Roebuck Pearl with a Fowlers Ivory roof. The interior was fully retrimmed in Connolly Hide from New Zealand at a cost of $4500 in 1991, just before it went back on the road.
The engine is a 12 port 202 out of a VC Commodore, it was a fully rebuilt and balanced engine with a cam for towing and still has 56 psi oil pressure on the hottest day. The engine has had the Weber Carby from a Ford XF conversion done about 7 years ago, and when it was fully dyno tuned and running at it's best it still returned 28 MPG on the highway, and that was towing a trailer with camping gear. With the carby mod I also had a new exhaust system fitted to suit the headers fitted to the engine and it returned 80 RWKW, but more importantly it was super smooth and very responsive for normal driving.
The gearbox is a Celica Steel Case 5 Speed along with a hydraulic clutch mod/crossmember etc from Castlemaine Rod Shop.
The car also has a HR Disc Brake front end fitted along with Torana Calipers and are great.
The engine, gearbox and brakes are all approved via an Engineering Certificate I got done when I put the car into my name.
It has H4 Halogen headlights fitted with high quality relays and they are sensational.
It also had 5 new seat belts fitted front and rear, these too are covered under the engineers cert.
During the time I was using the car every day I fitted brand new front and rear springs, fitted nolothane bushes to the crossmenber mounts etc and fitted a larger front sway bar.
I used the car every day for 8 years then it was taken off the road for 18 months before I started to get it registered again.
In the last 2 years I have replaced the following items:
brake master cylinder
main rear brake line that runs down the passenger side
fuel pump
harmonic balancer
NOS lower wishbones including balljoints
Current condition report:
Has no structural rust.
Has the standard rust at the bottom of the doors but certainly not terminal. I treated the rust and used filler and a spray can of supposedly matching colour in order to get a rwc so I could get club rego in Vic.
The bonnet is not an exact matching colour, this was due to the bonnet being damaged, repaired and repainted the day before it was due to be picked up from the panel beating shop back in 1991.
The usual patina and stone chips from being an everyday driver.
The fuel cap leaked around the seal for the last few years and has stained the paint and caused a few rust bubbles to come up around the rear quarter stainless mould attach pin area.
It ain't perfect but it's 50 years old. The interior is an 8.5 out of 10, the roof lining is not scratched or torn anywhere.
For additional photos and discription contact me and I will gladly send more to whoever wants it.
Inspection is most welcome, if not a mandatory requirement of bidding. You are bidding to buy, not look. Bad negative feedback will be left if conditions of sale can't be met by the winning bidder.
10% deposit within 24 hours and full payment before pickup and within 7 days. No money ,no bid. Don't bid if you have not got the money, have to get a loan still, have to ask your partner, have to sell your car first etc etc
You use paypal you pay all fees, and the car doesn't leave until full payment is cleared in my account.
C.O.D is fine as well as direct bank deposit.
shipping if required is at buyers expense, I am happy to take the car to any freight depot around Melbourne free of charge.
On 09-Sep-15 at 08:27:45 AEST, seller added the following information:
I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the reserve is not met as it is also being advertised privately.
Also, you will notice in the picture that the passenger side rear tyre is different from the rest. It is the spare tyre as i need to buy a new replacement tyre to match the others due to the old one being damaged.
I also have a set of 13"x6" Hotwire rims that I had purchased years ago to repaint in matching colour but never did it, they will go with the car also if wanted by the winning bidder.
I will post a pic of the roof and of the custom built speaker kick panels and rear side panels that go with the car, later on today.
On 10-Sep-15 at 09:05:05 AEST, seller added the following information:
