Rare EK Holden Special
Station Wagon 1961
The car is being sold as I just do not use it much anymore, always garaged. I would love to let it sit in the garage but it deserves to go to someone who will drive and enjoy her as I have in the past. The car body is stock original, everything on the car is original. The only things that are not are Holden 186 red motor, and HR front end and HR disc brake on front end and mags, these can be easily removed, the body has not been modified in any way.
Full Queensland registration. Registered till 2016.
6 Cylinder
Has been garaged for over 10 years so it hasn't been exposed to the elements at all in that time.
Great clean vehicle, runs and drives nicely.
Reconditioned 186 red motor with 2500klm on it, has racing springs in rocket cover.
Crome mags.
New glass and rubbers, hood lining, interior reupholstered.
Transmission – Tri-Matic Column Shift
HR Front End
HR Disc brakes
Brakes – new rear brake cylinders, shoes and brake hoses.
New door rubbers, new radiator plus small reserve radiator, have receipts and all paperwork.
Front seatbelts have been fitted.
New Rear Suspension – all new bushings, new shocks, new shock mounting plates, new spring. And new ball joints.
2 Speed reconditioned wiper motor in place.
New Interior re-upholstered white on dark green and carpet.
New upholstery throughout.
New Carpet throughout.
Custom push button doors with central locking.
Custom grill.
New hand brake cable.
New speedo cable.
New fire wall rubber kit.
New roof lining.
Smith heater reconditioned.
New door cards upholstered.
New brake master cylinder.
I also have some spares including a workshop manual.
Finished project that's been customised in some areas.
How far you want to go with this car is entirely up to the individual but the majority of the hard work has been done.
Although recently painted with little use, paint could be better in some places. Photos attached to show this.
The external moulds are all there.
Bumpers need recroming, however they are in good condition considering age of vehicle.
