My 1954 Holden FJ V6 Custom Show Car has been professionally built and customized, has passed engineering inspections and has all blue tags required for the mods. It has a VR-V6 Commodore engine fitted with smoothed and polished oversized 70mm throttle-body and K&N high performance air-filter, Jet-Hot headers and fully Jet-Hot coated 2" split exhaust system, Top-Loader 4 speed transmission and V8 heavy duty clutch, tail-shaft is fitted with V8 universal joints, HJ Holden diff housing, rear brakes and 3.08 diff fitted. It also has a Hadfield chassis kit, gas shocks all around, LH Torana collapsible steering column and CRS rack and pinion steering and an HR disc brake front end fitted with LJ Torana disk brakes.
The car has been rebuilt from the treads up at a cost of over $100,000 and all receipts are available as well as a large collection of digital photos of the build and will be passed onto the new owner. It is straight as a die and has no rust, no panel, frame or body damage and definitely no bog. It is finished in show quality Galaxy blue 2-pac and all bodywork, paint, engineering, sheet-metalwork, electrical work, custom aluminium fuel-tank, headers and exhaust was done in Castlemaine, Victoria (The Home of Hot-Rods). The fitting of the engine, transmission, suspension, diff housing and diff, disc-brake front end, V8 radiator mods and much more were done by Rod Hadfield of CRS personally.
It has Vintage-Air integrated AC fitted through front, rear and front windscreen. The front bucket seats are from and Alfa-Romeo and the rear seat is the original FJ seat re-trimmed to match the buckets and all are finished in high quality grey leather with Royal Blue piping and highlights throughout. The console is finished in walnut and has VDO Vintage Royale gauges fitted and a quality Kenwood sound system with 6-stacker CD player. Carpets are deep plush grey wool through the interior and the boot with custom made covers for the spare-wheel and the battery box, as well as a full set of custom mats in the same grey wool to project the main carpets front and rear of the passenger compartment. Custom grey valour headlining is fitted and the interior sun-visors are also covered in grey valour. The car has been completely and professionally rewired and Statesman interior and map reading lights are fitted. All trimming was carried out by Mickz Trimming of Melbourne. Mick learned his trade trimming Rolls-Royces and Bentleys and other famous marques and does rods and custom cars as well nowadays. He is the go to trimmer for high end work in Australia.
The quarter-vent windows have been removed from the front doors and proper tinted modern automotive glass has been fitted throughout, along with all new rubbers and completely refurbished chrome and stainless steel trims. It has a genuine Nasco venetian fitted to the rear window that are powder-coated grey.
It has Dragway 5-Spoke mags all around (Including the spare) and has Goodyear TA 60x245 radials and 14x8 rims on the rear and 14x7 rims and radials on the front.
Immobilizer and alarm with remote on keys.
The Queensland personal plates worth around $3000-$4000 to purchase from the RTA nowadays, will be left on the car at sale and the car will have a RWC and registration. It is currently comprehensively insured through Shannons.
The car is located in Northern Queensland. I have owned it since 1995 and the professional rebuild took 7 years (2001-2008). It has extremely low mileage, is always garaged and has always been kept under a custom car cover in the garage. My reason for selling it is that I now spend a lot of time overseas and I don't get back regularly enough to drive it and look after it the way that it should be.
I have a family member working as agent for selling the car and inspections can be arranged if necessary.
