Holden FJ Utility 1956

1956 FJ Holden Utility. Built in Fortitude Valley Assembly Plant in Brisbane during last 3 months of production. Possibly the youngest FJ Holden in Australia. Very good condition, 20,000 miles since 2002, total mileage unknown. Interior re-upholstered and carpeted in 2003, front suspension rebuilt in 2004, complete engine rebuild in 2007(3000 mile since rebuild),New clutch and all new gearbox seals in 2007,reconditioned break cylinders with stainless steel sleeves in 2007, new water pump and alternator in 2012, new shock absorbers, break master cylinder, right side kingpin bushes and outer tie rod end. Original wood in rear tray. Rear tray side panels replaced with premium, oiled marine ply. Older restoration prior to 2002. Paint work needs some attention (older restoration) two small spots of surface rust on rear wheel arches, chips and some cracking to paintwork. 12 Volt electrics. indicators and electric windscreen wipers Colour Elk Blue. All the glass is 1956 glass except for one quarter light which is 1954. Looks very nice and shows well. Excellent running condition, engine and gearbox are very smooth running. Only real work that is required would be a respray to bring this vehicle up to an excellent condition. Car was bought by me in 2002 from a private seller on the Sunshine Coast QLD. Car has always been garaged. Most of the mileage has occurred through long distance interstate runs between Brisbane, Darwin, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Barcaldine. Twin Carby Monaro manifold included. 3 Additional Carbies, Fuel pump and other assorted parts and accessories included. Car to be picked up from Barcaldine. Car used in the Harmony James music video for her debut single Tailwind. A very nice car that needs very little done to it to bring it up to show condition, runs very smoothly with no mechanical or automotive problems. This car is a head turner everywhere it goes and never fails to attract a crowd and attention at shows, meets or just around town.
