It has never been viv'd, never hit or involved in any insurance claims and as such accidents during the course of its ownership by me. Not with me - and not with the prior owners as far as I'm aware of. So that said this car is still structurally kosher.
Externally the car is in top shape for a 23 year old vehicle. It was always garaged and covered with car covers, kept clean, and well maintained. Internally the car is still in excellent condition also. Besides the Group A interior everything else is standard - the console plastics have a little bit of slack but thats expected having been removed so many times for modifications but apart from all that the she's a pleasure. Has had fire extinguisher brackets screwed/fixed into each side of the centre. Never had anyone smoke in it or drink or eat in it so it has a very clean smell odour inside also. Roof lining is not sagging much - or at all. Parcel shelf is untouched it has not been tampered with.
Other things to note:
- Minor Surface rust in engine bay directly below brake booster on the chassis rail where it must have leaked years ago I'm assuming paint has peeled, and minor surface rust in the boot where the spare tyre sits on the reel, nothing severe i was going to get all those sorted and resprayed while engine bay was getting a detailing and smoothing. never got around to it once project halted. can supply pics if required.
- Drivers side front speaker missing a cover.
- Also i still do have all the loom for the headlamps and fuses so can all be used again if buyer doesn’t want to do their own custom/hidden wiring.
- In the engine bay theres 1 hole cut which was done by a qualified/competent tradesman in body works which allowed for intercooler piping.
- As expected being a 23 year old car in its original state the window rubbers on passenger/driver side windows are a little worn but it's not deteriorated to the point where it needs urgent attention/replacement. It never leaked water inside at all and still doesn't i would happily state.
- Left side of the cars red/grey stripe has a minor peel but it was like that from the prior owner, only a little section of it and nothing severe.
Other:
- Bumper bar is in garage at my other property so haven’t been there to take a pic of it yet but thats in perfect nic only without fog lights and lip is slightly cut back to allow for intercooler unit.
No intentions to separate anything above. However if good offers are put forward then the aforementioned is only separable upon negotiation or terms outside of this sale.
The hydraulic T56 gearbox is an absolute ball to play with. It is perfectly tight, responsive, and being a billet short shift mechanism it is a piece of art just makes manual even better on a bigger scale of fun and joy. For those who are interested in the T56 please note that this means the pedal box would have to be removed from the car too as well as the tailshaft as you cannot run this box on any pedal box or any tailshaft off a VN. So being removed and sold as a kit, presumably it would be priced as a kit. Consequently, the car would not have a pedal box if I sold the gearbox and it would depreciate the cars overall value significantly hence therefore I would expect a good offer/figure on the T56.
As my project was delayed and eventually lost interest, this is perfect for someone who wants to start a new project or future build.
There's just absolutely way too much potential right here to strip her apart and sell off - and for someone who wants to get this up and running quickly will be able to at their very own comfort and discretion. At an absolute minimum - a 304 V8 EFI with loom, exhaust, engine accessories and drop it them right in, wire her up and away you go - under the proviso you're competent enough to drive manual without grinding. Being billet short shift it can be a some what tricky to find the gears for a first timer with billet short shift gearbox in their possession - but that is all practice - and the significance of practice is imperative as you would definitely want to have a blast down the highway at some stage if you bought this package.
The Genuine SS Group A interior is out from a VN Group A. It is a beautiful design interior and being 23 years old this interior is just in pristine condition. It is funny that I see some newer model Holden's at times with interiors in poor condition, giving this car the moral high ground bragging rights. There's not many of these interiors around and specially not in a vn ss. Nonetheless, the interior is just flawlessly clean, very minimal to no wear and they actually smell as if they were fitted from factory recently.
Evidently, this is one of the only few VN SS left in Australia that's still happens to be the cleanest, tidiest whilst retained in its factory paint. The pictures will speak for itself, and for yourself - you can inspect - this car has not even had a wax/polish in over 5 years - since it's been off the road.

For those who want more pictures please text me or message me your email address and i will email them to you its easier as eBay only allows 12 pics and i have a good 20-30 thereabouts i could email in high res.
Inspections are welcome at only certain times during the week by appointment.
